Our Philosophy of Family Ministry
God designed the family to be the primary source of faith formation in children and youth! Therefore, the church is an important complement to their efforts. The church’s role is to strengthen families for the task of raising up the next generation as disciples of Jesus!
Deuteronomy 6:5-9 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.
Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Take-It-Home Faith Path Events
We partner with families in take-it-home Faith Path events to recognize and celebrate a child’s steps of faith. We call these steps of faith “milestones.” Parents and children attend the interactive events that help parents foster spiritual disciplines and prepare for key milestones along their child’s faith journey. Each milestone is celebrated once per year:
Baptism
Blessings - Preschool
Family Time - K
Prayer - 1st grade
The Gospel - 2nd grade
My Bible / Adventure Bible - 3rd grade
Worship - 4th grade
First Communion - 5th grade
The Talk - 6th grade
Giving and Serving - 7th grade
Purity - 8th grade
HS Bible - 9th grade
Rite of Passage - 10th
Confirmation - Jr. or Sr.
Launch - 12th
What is Faith at Home?
Faith at Home is exactly as it sounds! It is the daily, intentional nurturing of the Christian faith — at home! It is our privilege to equip households with tools and resources that deepen their relationship with God and the Church.

The Faith at Home Center
The Faith at Home Center is a self-serve physical “hub” in our worship space that offers free, take-home resources. The resources are applicable to different life seasons and circumstances.
The Book Nook
We offer various books (free will donation) and information about various local ministries.
